Preparation for the incoming Golden Jubilee Celebration
In the preparation for the incoming Golden Jubilee celebration of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, the month of February, March and April focuses on the activities such:
- Musical play on the life of St. Joseph.
- Passion play of Christ for the month of April
- The annunciation on March 2.
- Parish Youth Apostolate Summer Youth Camp.
All of the activities stated above are approved by the Parish priest Dionisio Tabiliran. Some ministry are so busy of their presentation this coming Golden Jubilee Celebration and the parish priest hoping that all GKK Leaders will participate the said events.

Kabahin sa pagpangandam sa umaabot nga pagsaulog sa ika 50 ka tuig ang St. Joseph the Worker Parish ( May 1,2014) niining Enero, Daghang mga gilatid nga mga kalihukan.
Ang makahuluganon kaayo mao ang pagtugot sa kura paroko nga mahitabo ang “ Bunyagan sa Katilingban” , sa dugay’ng panahon mao kini ang gihangyo sa kadaghanan ilabina panahon sa GKK Fiesta.
Ang mapinanggaong kasing-kasing ni Fr. Dionisio Tabiliran nagtinguha nga matagaan og pagtagad kadtong labing manginahanglan, matagaan og prebilihiyo kadtong mga ginikanan nga wala makasal tungod may impedemento,walay birth certificate ang bata ug labaw sa tanan ang pagtugot nga sila na ang mag-igo sa ilang donasyon sigon sa ilang kabubut-on agi’g halad-pasalamat sa Ginoo.
Mikabat kinig 630 ka mga bata ug hamtong nga nakadawat sa Sakramento sa Pagbunyag, gikan sa walo ka mga Zona sakop niini. Gikalipay kaayo sa usa ka Inahan nga taga GKK Birhin Milagrosa, Km 10,Sasa..Matud pa niya” bisan pa man wala mosuporta and akong bana , nabunyagan ra gyud dungan ang akong siyam ka mga anak, tungod sa rason nga walay ikagasto.
Matud pa ni Jenny Gelbolingo, taga-opisina, basin mao na kini ang susi nga mag-abli sa mga ginikanan niining mga bata nga bunyaganan nga mopaduol ngadto sa Simbahan. Sumala pa ni Madz Tito ang in-charge sa maong kalihukan , “ Samtang nagasaksi ako sa maong pagbunyag sa gatusan ka mga bata, gibati ko nga sa tinuod sa maong higayon si Kristo mikanaog gikan sa langit ug nakig-uban sa mga kabataan. Ug nagkanayon siya pag-ingon “ nakadawat ako og dakong grasya sa Dios , wala ko batia ang kakapoy bisan sa akong paghatag pre-baptism ngadto sa mga GKK.
DADITAMA CONVENTION: An Experienced

Three-Hundred Nine (309) delegates from the DADITAMA (Davao-Digos-Tagum-Mati) Region were gathered at John Paul II College of Davao for the 3rd DADITAMA Youth Convention last October 26-28, 2012 reflecting in its theme: “The New Evengelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith”.
DADITAMA delegates were fostered on the 6 parish sites namely : San Pedro Cathedral, San Pablo Parish Juna Subd., St.Joseph the Worker Parish Sasa, San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Talomo, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Bangkal, Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish Bajada, and Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Torres. first day of the gathering started with catechesis on “Porta Fidei” (Door of Faith) given by Rev. Fr. Ritschie Gamaya,DCD followed by the welcoming mass presided by Most.Rev. George B. Rimando, DD. At night time, a welcoming program entertained the delegates. Also, the Ka-Lakbay Youth Newsletter was formally launched together with the Editorial Board and Rev.Fr. Jojo Ortiz, DCD Youth Director of DAYCA.
Second day was topped up with information as the guest speakers, Mr. Edwin Lopez, Station Manager of EWTN Network and Dra. Ligaya Acosta shared about “Social Communication & Leadership” back to back with “Love, Sex, and Life” respectively. A festive atmosphere marked the Socio-Cultural Night that is jam-packed with cultural presentations from the guest performers, animators, and the dioceses.
Moreover, on the 3rd day, the election of DADITAMA Youth Officers was set, followed by the culminating mass, awarding of certificates and Youth Statement which shares that the young are the tool missionaries in evangelizing in the community of our modern-day era. Fr. Jojo also extends his deepest gratitude to all the help and assistance coming from the generous sponsors, parishes, and to the dioceses who cooperated and participated on the said occasion. The next DADITAMA convention will be hosted by the Diocese of Digos in 2014.
It was a great experienced because through that convention I developed my leadership skills in supervising my fellow youth to our GKK and it deepens my faith to God. I was very happy that I am one of the representative that our Parish send to DADITAMA CONVENTION to participate the said event. That was an unforgettable event I was experienced.
The 6th Asian Youth Day is coming

The Asian Youth Day (AYD) is the coming together of Catholic youths from different Asian countries. This weeklong life experience enables young people to gather in formation programs and plan their future spiritual lives. At the same time, the gathering aims to provide an opportunity for Catholic youths to explore and renew their faith, so that they can share the Gospel with others through the work of justice and peace. The AYD also includes the sharing of faith with other religious groups.
The Episcopal Commission on Youth is happy to extend the invitation of the Office of Laity and Family of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences to the Sixth Asian Youth Day, with the theme Asian Youth! Wake Up! The Glory of the Martyrs shines on you.
This will be held this 10-17 August 2014 in Korea, with the Diocese of Daejeon as host-diocese of the main event.
The DADITAMA Officers send letters to the different Parishes in Davao City contained:
This invitation is addressed to the youth. It comes with slot allocations, with 100 slots given to the delegation of our country, the registration of which is entrusted to our office. We have created and will implement a process of application and registration to fill this number of slots in a fair and efficient way.
